What is a “giclee” print?

The word was literally invented a few years ago by a guy in the printing industry. It sounds good … Fancy … Professional … Special somehow … And – of course! – Expensive.

The invention is derived from a French word which means “nozzle.” And – hey! – it sounds great.  But the truth is – “giclee” is nothing more than another word for inkjet.
