I don’t think she was too pleased with me. Pointing that noisy machine up at her as she and her partner put the final touches on their nest.

It’s interesting. I spent the entire day driving from location to location, did about three miles along the bike trail in Milton, traveled the backwoods of Santa Rosa county, drove from Navarre Beach to Fort Pickens, and then back into town … and the best photo of the day was the very first one I captured.

The advantage of riding a bicycle around the city is that I can take the time to look for neat stuff. Like this – a drainage ditch alongside a paved parking lot just full of yellow irises.
